ah ha ha ha ha.. i know this much is true...
A lazy evening after a hectic day.... brief kbox session with zhihao n jianquan, dinner and shopping at topman... trophy, 1 x pants + $15 gift voucher.
Went on for a nice drive under the drizzling sky to the tune of joanna wang, the lamps shining gently upon the drops of water on the windscreen makes you wanna extend the drive into eternity...
Saw a reflection in the mirror and i started to wonder who exactly is the person staring back at me.. more than often, looking back at my actions and thoughts amuses me...
Is it just me? or is everyone behaving in the same manner? Delusion seems to be embedded very deeply into my behavioral pattern. I love to escape from obstacles constantly by thinking that other options offer me a easier way out.
I don't quite like my job, i try to derive some form of consolation from entertaining thoughts of job hopping after i get my degree. Will the option placed in front of me definitely be better? Not necessarily. When things don't work my way, i think that things will work out my way if i take up the other choices that are readily available. Constantly trying to escape from adversity instead of trying to overcome it. When a relationship doesn't seem to work the way you expect it to... its always easier to tell yourself there's always someone better out there, but that someone never seems to come.. sometimes, we just don't try hard enough to make the existing work... shixiong said to decide on 2 qualities you find most important in a woman and when you meet a woman with these 2 qualities make do with it because this is probably as good as it gets. Well, i totally agree... its already hell of a task to find someone who fits the bill..
Well... enough to talking... i need to do more and talk less...
glad that spring chicken can still be acquired at $7, less than 2% inflation... impressive.. gonna burn the whole of tmr in malaysia again doing menial tasks.. well.. its as if i have anything else better to do...

random thoughts
Maybe sometimes all we are looking for is acknowledgement...
One's expectations are more than often contradicting.. instead of expecting... try instead to accept things as come.. after all.. god has it all planned out
Dust in the wind
I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment's gone
All my dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind.
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do, crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind
[Now] Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, and all your money won't another minute buy.
Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind, everything is dust in the wind.

From buffet
Buffett On Happiness
I enjoy what I do, I tap dance to work every day. I work with people I love, doing what I love. The only thing I would pay to get rid of is firing people. I spend my time thinking about the future, not the past. The future is exciting. As Bertrand Russell says, “Success is getting what you want, happiness is wanting what you get.” I won the ovarian lottery the day I was born and so did all of you. We’re all successful, intelligent, educated. To focus on what you don’t have is a terrible mistake. With the gifts all of us have, if you are unhappy, it’s your own fault.
That's what i call... truly getting out of the rat race...

The Singaporean girl and the US consumer
There was this article on the expectations on a singapore girl on the ST times last week... seems to coincide with another article on the us consumer... so...
This one's named the SG Girl and the US consumer.
At 18, young pretty and voluptuous. You could any guy melt almost immediately with your seductive smile and luscious lips. Your economy is at its peak, you are at the forefront of technology emerging as a superpower amongst all of your friends.
You have many suitors, you think nothing of them, shoving them aside despite their desperate pleas until "Mr Nippon" shows up.. he's a short bespectacled man but with a flare for pleasing you, extremely productive and innovative. You think, wow, i should make him my man... he'll bring me lots of yummies. Mr Nippon rises to your side becoming prom king, an economic superpower second to you.
He tries ways and means to please you and woo you into marriage, but being the prom queen that you are, the world is your playground, you are demanding and Mr Nippon can never seem to meet you expectations as others catch up with him in terms of wits, humour and wealth.
Before long, you start to notice Mr Beijing, a person you never thought you would admire, well... he seems interesting with a mega workforce that's cheap and effective, he's able to shower you with gifts to satisfy your insatiable appetite, no one ever seemed so appealing before, and you go to his side, leaving Mr Nippon with a financial crisis before him due to your heavy expenditure, in spite of that Mr Nippon faitfully awaits your return holding dear to him your treasury bills and bonds which he keeps as a momento.
And meanwhile, whilst being with Mr Beijing, you continue seeing Mr Saudi, maintaining a self proclaimed platonic friendship. You love the sweet light crude he owns and a sip of it gives you the ultimate satisfaction.
You are at your peak now, attractive and mature, equipped with ladylike disposition having a taste for only the best. You are what we call attas. You are at the top of the world with all aspects of your economy doing well, your tits are at its maximum size, supple and firm, your ass bouncy and perky. Men drool at the sight of you. You decide to make full use of your assets, mortgaging them over and over again as you make capital gain. Men shower even more gifts on you in exchange for your youth, your bonds are greatly sought after and supported, you are after all the world's biggest consumer.
You enjoy a few more good years at helm as you give more and more promises to suitors. Sure they've laid you, but they want more... after all your appeal is electrifying... before you know it... you've chalked up more than 200 billion in debts after all your extravagance and the bitch fight you had with your long time foe ms iraq and ms afghanistan.
You start moving into your thirties, you become less attractive, your housing bubble finally bursts and defaults are on the rise, your boobs start sagging and wrinkles start appearing, but its ok... Mr china is still fine with it as long as you start being less demanding and more accomodating for a change. He hopes you start playing the role of a woman, a virtous wife to be, instead of that flamboyant, materialistic girl you were. But you can't seem to put down your ego, you are too used to being the epicenter of attention, the target of excessive indulgence. You utterly dissapoint Mr China and the last straw came when he finds out that you are two timing him and Mr Saudi, his best pal.
They start pulling out of the relationship, abandoning your currency and your bonds, Mr Nippon upon seeing this, finally awakens from lala land and does the same. You no longer hold power over them, you fail to capture attention from suitors and you keep supressing rates to try to keep your economy from failing. But all attempts come to nought, your boobs start wrinkling up nevertheless. First comes the collapse of the housing bubble, then the sub-prime crisis and finally the credit swap defaults. The chain reaction kicks in along with your age, you lose market value... well...
you get the story.
Moral of the story :
Play your roles right, demand a little less, accomodate a little more, place yourself a little further away from the center of the world, watch a little less korean dramas, princes and princesses don't exist in the real world, work towards a more sustainable future, relationships which only benefit one party don't last, remember.. if its one sided, it'll sooner or later become loop-sided.
Ok... be inspired, go change your behaviour for a week... but after that you'll probably go back to your normal self.. Saying and doing are 2 very different things... that's probably why 99% of people are still unhappy. I'm crapping again..
ok... end of story... btw.. i think i've officially destroyed all chances of ever getting laid in singapore... i think i'll migrate... i'll give you guys my new number after i settle down overseas...
To sum this up... just my 2 cents... if anyone thinks the gov't can solve the problem of overspending by encouraging spending... please go bang wall.. just go into a recession and spend less and be done with it... there's no point avoiding the inevitable...
Anyways... enjoy
